Whether you want to lose weight, get in shape, meet new people; Or if your child needs Self-discipline or an outlet for after-school energy, we're here for you!  Judo training is an ideal form of physical exercise and it serves as a great cardiovascular workout, which improves stamina, general health and overall fitnessWe cater for beginners and experienced players, male and female over the age of 16 for seniors and from 5 for juniors.  You are very welcome to join us within a friendly atmosphere at our judo club. The club is affiliated to the British Judo Association, the national body responsible for running the sport in the UK up to Olympic and international level.

Judo is accessible to players of all ages, of both sexes, and with many disabilities.   As a sport it has much to offer, including developing physical and mental coordination, keeping fit, or just having fun.   Through judo, children can learn self-discipline, respect for themselves and for others, self-confidence, concentration, and balance.

Family first. We pride ourselves on being a family-oriented judo club.  Players of all ages and abilities are welcome, from youngsters just starting out to experienced veterans.   All club members, particularly parents of our junior players are encouraged to contribute to the successful running of the club, including putting away the mats, and helping to run our inter-club competitions. Judo has also been seen to actively reduce bullying, bully's can only get away with their reigns of terror in relatively uncontrolled environments and the disciplined Dojo (training hall), removes them from their position of power. At the same time they themselves learn discipline and self control, quite often whilst losing to players who were previously a victim of their bullying, this gives them a new perspective and a newfound respect for such players.
